Death of a Cozy Writer has been nominated for an Anthony Award for Best First Novel

On May 15, it was announced that Death of a Cozy Writer tied for a silver medal for the IPPY, the independent publishers award, in the Mystery/Suspense/Thriller category.

Received word on May 4 that Death of a Cozy Writer has been nominated for a Macavity Award for Best First Novel from Mystery Readers International. The Macavity is awarded each year at Bouchercon, which this year will be held in Indianapolis.

Death of a Cozy Writer is also on the list for an IPPY, the independent publishers award.

I was in the company of Louise Penny and Rhys Bowen, also up for a Macavity for Best Novel and Best Historical, respectively, when we got the news. We were traveling up to PA with Marcia Talley and Mary Jane Maffini for the book festival in Oakmont, and had stopped in a famous old tavern for lunch on the way. Much rejoicing.
